According to the UK government’s website, applying for asylum is a must for anyone seeking refugee status in the UK. You are eligible to apply if continued residence anywhere in your own country could pose serious threats to your life. Application should be done as soon as you arrive in the UK, or the moment you have decided that returning to your own country is no longer safe. Part of the application is an in-depth interrogation done by immigration officers, followed by an asylum interview. You will have to state persecution threats in your home country, evidence, etc. You will be able to stay at accommodation facilities provided by the Home Office if your application is proven to have sufficient evidence and grounds for asylum. Ideally, applications take up to six months processing time, but it’s not new for cases to remain under evaluation for years.

You can increase the chances of qualifying if you are equipped with all the information you need regarding eligibility, the process, and other legal procedures. Seasoned caseworkers from Primarc Solicitors are here to help you go through the complex immigration procedure.
